Our Adoption Process

By choosing to adopt from the KSPCA, you save an animal that that has been through a lot of trauma, by making them part of your family, showing them love and support. You also open up KSPCA shelter space for another animal who might desperately need rescuing and medical care.

Adopt A pet Info

Call or Visit

We are open for rehoming every day, from Monday to Saturday, from 9am to 5pm. You can give us a call or visit our office at Langata Road in Karen.

Contract

When there is a match, there is a contract to be signed. The adoption fee is KES 9 500 for dogs and KES 3 500 for cats. This inludes vaccinations, microchipping and sterialisation.

Screening

We have a friendly screening process (including a form, interview and potentially a house visit) to make sure that you are being matched with the right animal and that you are able to look after your new pet according to locally and internationally recognized welfare standards.

Home

You will go home with a new family member! Take the time for your new pet to settle in and before you know it, you’ll have a new best friend.

Meet And Greet

If there is a suitable animal, a meet & greet is scheduled. As every family is unique and every dog is different, a time to get to know each other is important.
