Hi there,
Meet Tinie Tempah, a female Kenyan Shepherd, who is about 5 – 6 months old. She was rescued by the KSPCA with an appalling and untreated wound which meant that my leg had to be removed. She was in shock, shut down and extremely traumatized. For the first few days in foster after the surgery, she wouldn’t come out of her crate.
Watching her flower has been a joy and a privilege. She is a courageous and loving dog. She gets on well with other dogs and would enjoy a playmate. She will need a little patience at first as she builds trust, but when she gets to know you she use the considerable power of all three legs to leap into your heart. She is lively but not a big noise maker and will take herself off for quiet snoozes – she sleeps through the night and while she will occasionally vocalize her interest in playing with you, she’s not a yapper.
She is very energetic. She will never be great at long walks but she does love to zoom and play.
She is very small – about the size of a cat – and probably won’t get much bigger. Her injury slows her down a little but there is no reason that she can’t now live a long and healthy life without further complications.
She’d be great with gentle kids although she still has a puppy tendency of nipping when playing and her small teeth are quite sharp. So toys and space to run around are the order of the day.
She is vaccinated, microchipped and soon to be sterilized.
